PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic image developing toner which ensures good development quality even in long-time continuous printing, does not cause surface fogging or streaking of an image even when the toner is replenished to a toner packing section, ensures good transfer efficiency and no untransfer when electrostatic image developing toners overlap each other in toner development, hardly causes toner sticking and contamination to a developing roller and a charging blade in long-time continuous printing and can reduce the frequency of cleaning and maintenance of members in toner replenishment. SOLUTION: A colorant, an electrostatic charge controlling agent and wax are incorporated into a thermoplastic resin-base binder resin to form toner matrix particles having a weight average particle diameter of 7-12μm, the surfaces of the particles are coated with fine metal oxide particles, and 0.5-7.0 wt.% spherical fine particles having a weight average particle diameter of >6 to <25μm and an average sphericity of≥0.8 are added to the coated particles to manufacture the objective electrostatic image developing toner.
