PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more improve the working cost of a bump stopper, and to improve productivity thereof. SOLUTION: In this cushion device for a buffer K formed by inserting a piston rod 5 into a cylinder body 2 freely to move, providing a bump stopper 1 in an end of the cylinder body 2, providing a bump cushion B near the upper end of the piston rod 5 so that the bump stopper 1 carries the bump cushion B to absorb an impact when the piston rod 5 is compressed at the maximum, the end of the cylinder body 2 is provided with a small-diameter cylindrical body 2a stood from the cylinder body 2, and the cylindrical body is provided with a hole 2b for communicating outside and inside of the cylinder body 2 with each other. The bump stopper 1 is formed of a horizontal plate part 1c, a folding part 1b extended downward from one end of the horizontal plate part 1c and folded into one stage or a plurality of stages, a cylindrical continuously provided part 1a suspended from the folding part 1b, and an insertion hole 1d provided in the horizontal plate part 1c for insertion of the piston rod 5.
