PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a needle having a stitch-transferring spring which has a simple and solid structure and is fixed to the needle so as not to be lost, by improving a conventional needle which is used for forming stitches in a textile machine, especially in a weft knitting machine, and has such a structure that the needle (1) has two side plate (6, 7) facing to each other and formed as flat surfaces and a groove for receiving a fixation section (21) of the stitch-transferring spring (14). SOLUTION: The groove has such an improved structured as to be formed into a slit (16) existing between both the side plates (6, 7) and extending to the inside of a needle body (2).
