PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize searching by suppressing a variation in a travel time of reading means even when a mechanical load applied to a driving means is varied from a reference value by a variation in mechanism or a variation in ambient temperature. SOLUTION: A CPU (central processing unit) 6 compares a detected rate of travel and a reference rate of travel set beforehand, and when the detected rate of travel is smaller than the reference rate of travel, carries out control so as to heighten a motor drive voltage VM supplied to a motor 4, and when the detected rate of travel is larger than the reference rate of travel, carries out control so as to lower the motor drive voltage VM supplied to the motor 4.
