PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure gas permeation characteristics of a cap unit with high accuracy between a container and a cap. SOLUTION: A tool 100 has an annular part 110, and has a hollow member 120 forming closed space 115. The cap 20 of a measuring object is covered with the annular part 110, and a pressing part 130 is allowed to descend and presses the cap 20 against the annular part 110 by turning an operating part 135. Air in the closed space 115 is replaced with nitrogen gas by supplying the nitrogen gas into the closed space 115 through a gas supply port 140. Oxygen gas permeating the cap 20 from upper space of the cap 20 and entering to the closed space 115, is sent to an analyzer through a gas exhaust port 150 along with the nitrogen gas.
