PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection nozzle capable of inhibiting the generation of cavitation, preventing the lowering of injection amount, and securing fuel spray travel. SOLUTION: A nozzle body 2 has a group of injection holes having a first micro injection hole 6a and a second micro injection hole 6b on an inner peripheral face of a suction chamber 8, the micro injection holes 6a, 6b are arranged in parallel in the central axis direction of the suction chamber 8, and have the taper-shape of which a diameter is gradually reduced from an inlet toward an outlet of the injection hole 6. A tip part of a needle 3 is provided with a first conic face 11 and a second conic face 12 respectively on upstream and downstream sides of a sheet part 10, and angular differencesα1,α2 between each of the conic faces 11, 12 and a sheet face 7 is determined to be larger than that of a conventional nozzle. According to this constitution, as a flow speed of the fuel flowing on the sheet face 7 can be reduced, the generation of cavitation can be reduced. As a result, the fuel in a gas state flowing inside of the injection holes can be reduced, which prevents the lowering of the injection amount. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
