PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sleepiness preventing seat surface device for causing the sleepiness of a driver on a seat to mechanically disappear. SOLUTION: The upper face of a seat plate 1 is covered with a surface member 2 elastically deformable therealong, and an output member 4 is fixed to the lower face of a buttock supporting range portion of the surface member 2. Driving means 5 is provided for guiding the output member 4 to a guide track portion 3 formed on the seat plate 1 in such a manner as to be displaceable along the surface member 2 while reciprocatingly driving the output member 4 at a stroke of several millimeters to several tens of millimeters.
