PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat capable of realizing comfortable sitting when in use and a very thin folding condition when not in use. SOLUTION: The first base members 9 and 10 pivotally support the rear end of a seat frame 3, and second base members 13 which are fixed around the front end of the seat frame rotatably support rotating arms 14. Pins 17 are arranged at free ends of the rotating arms and inserted into slots 19 formed along a side frame member 6b of the seat frame so that the front end height of the seat frame can be adjusted with the rotation of the rotating arms. Moreover, a lock means for locking the rotating arms is provided in an operating position of the seat frame by locking the pins at the front ends of the slots. With this constitution, when in use, the seat frame can be appropriately lifted up, thus attaining the comfortable sitting feeling. When not in use, the front end of the seat frame can be lifted down to fold down the seat, thus attaining a very thin folding condition. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
