PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent boiling over and reduce the load on electronic components by controlling the input electric power to a rated value when the value detected by an input voltage detection means is higher than the rated value in a rice cooker with a function of detecting the input currents and controlling the currents to a prescribed control value. SOLUTION: A pot 13 as a rice cooking container is heated by a heater means 14, and the voltage of a commercial power supply 11 is detected by the input voltage detection means 16, and at the same time, the electric currents from the commercial power supply 11 are detected by an input current detection means 15. A microcomputer 21 has a control function of correcting the product of values detected by the input voltage detection means 16 and detected by the input current detection means 15 to a predetermined electric power control value when an input power correction switch 19 disposed in an operation means 17 is pressed and setting the corrected value as a control value when the value detected by the input voltage detection means 16 is larger than a predetermined threshold of the voltage.
