PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance illumination performance effect of an illumination device by continuously changing the light emitting state of a light source. SOLUTION: The illumination device for a game machine employing a lens body comprises a light emitting device R using an LED (light source) 22, a coil-like expandable transmissive lens body L<SB>1</SB>disposed frontward of the LED 22 and capable of being expanded and a solenoid (driving means) S for expanding and contracting the lens body L<SB>1</SB>.
