REAGENT AND PROCESS FOR MEASURING AMYLASE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for easily measuring amylase activity in biological samples such as saliva, especially a means (process or reagent) for measuring the activity in samples containing amylase at high concentrations without diluting them. SOLUTION: The process for directly measuring the amylase activity in the sample showing a high amylase activity without diluting it employs an enzyme method using a modified oligosaccharide substrate. Here, sugars such as oligosaccharides which are competitive against the oligosaccharide substrate are added. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
