PURPOSE: A cylinder for opening and shutting an automatic door of a vehicle is provided to prevent accidents caused by the opening of the door in traveling if an air pipe is damaged, to prevent damages or robbery in stopping or parking by preventing the door from being opened by power of a human being, and to easily release a locked state without a separate device. CONSTITUTION: A cylinder for opening and shutting an automatic door of a vehicle is composed of a cylinder body(10) of which one end is opened to form a predetermined space, having air injection ports(11,12) at both sides; a piston(20) mounted in the cylinder body and formed with a packing(21) contacted to the inside of the cylinder body and installed between air injection ports; a piston rod(30) connected to the piston and formed with a key groove(31) at the side of the piston; and a locker(40) disposed to the spot at which the cylinder body is opened, combined to the key groove when the piston rod is operated out of the cylinder body, and released from the key groove by the pressure of air injected from the air injection port. |
