The board has a first edge section (4) adjacent to a first cavity (12) capable of locating an identical size tongue protruding from an adjacent second edge section (5) on an adjacent board so that the two boards overlap, whilst the first edge section has a cross-section which is different to the cavity (18) defined by the second edge section, so that a capillary force- interrupting and moisture drainage space is formed in the joint between the two overlapping edges. The difference in cross-section can be obtained by providing the first edge section with a chamfered surface (14). |
