APPARATUS FOR REMOVING FOREIGN MATERIALS OF STRIP WINDING FACILITY

PURPOSE: An apparatus for removing foreign materials of strip winding facility is provided which prevents indentation flaws formed by foreign materials by removing various foreign materials stuck to the surface of strip when winding strip extracted from line facility around tension reel. CONSTITUTION: In a strip winding facility comprising a tension reel(2) on which strip extracted from line facility is wound, and a pinch roll(5) for guiding the strip to the tension reel by being closely adhered to the strip, the apparatus comprises a plural foreign material removers(10A-10D) comprising a foreign material adsorption part(54) installed at an outer part of the tension reel and positioned adjacently to the surface of the strip to adsorb foreign materials from the strip(1), a foreign material suction part for sucking in the foreign materials adsorbed by the foreign material adsorption part, and a position adjusting part for controlling position of the foreign material adsorption part for the surface of the strip so as to remove the foreign materials stuck to the surface of the strip; a position controller(20) installed on shaft of the pinch roll to operate the total thickness of the strip wound around the tension reel according to rotation of the pinch roll and electrically connected to the position adjusting part of the foreign material removers to transmit signals to the position adjusting part; and a foreign material inspirator(30) connected to the foreign material suction part of the foreign material removers and equipped with motor(32) and fan(33) to receive the foreign materials sucked by the foreign material suction part through suction line(31) so that the foreign materials are stored in the inspirator.
