Sheet feeding device

The sheet feed has a suction head (5) which separates individual sheets from a stack (8) and a transfer head (6) which feeds them in a staggered arrangement on to a belt table (13). The degree of stagger is maintained by tracking the speed of the belt and superimposing a sinusoisal component on the speed of the transfer head.
