Secure membrane for a membrane type pump

The safety diaphragm consists of two layers (1,2). It has a clamping section (E) for fastening in a pump, and a working section next to it. The diaphragm layers are connected to prevent entry of liquid and/or gas between the layers. A sensor section (S) is located in part of the clamping section. There is atmospheric or sub-atmospheric pressure between the diaphragm layers. The layers are formed so that with an increase in pressure between the layers, and an increase in the relative distance, they deform easier in the sensor section area than in the remaining sections. The layers are connected pref. positively and sealed to a diaphragm core (5).
