<p>The presence sensor comprises a casing of electrically nonconducting material of substantially parallelpipedic shape having a front face (10) substantially parallel to a rear face (11), the measure electrodes (2,2') and the reference electrodes (3,3') placed inside the casing, and a metallic shielding element (4) connected to the ground, placed on the rear face of the casing and extended with respect to the measure electrodes. The casing is designed to be mounted inside a mobile part of the opening handle so that the front face of the casing is parallel to the opening surface and at a distance from the opening surface. The measure electrode (2,2') and the reference electrodes (3,3') are in a coupling so to generate the electric field lines partly extending outside the casing in a manner to create a detection zone. The reference electrode (3,3') are connected to the ground. The front face (10) is the active face of the sensor, and the detection zone is created in a neighborhood of the front face and the rear face. The shielding element (4) has an open-work structure selected so as to reduce the electric field lines in the detection zone at the level of the rear face (11), and also to present a sufficiently low stay capacitance to have a negligible effect on the electric field lines in the detection zone at the level of the front face (10). The open-work structure is a conductor mesh. The shielding element (4) is fastened on the rear face of the casing by adhesive bonding, or is implemented on the rear face as metallized deposition.</p> |
