<p>The socket and sleeve pipe joint is for an exhaust gas channel or a chimney pipe at a heating system, where the pipe ends are pushed together to lock by their positive and negative cone surfaces. The end of the inserted pipe (3) has a slight conical shape along the length of a leading section (5), with a recessed ring groove (10) at the smallest diameter of the cone (6) to hold a seal (D1) if required. It transits into a cylindrical section (7) with an outer diameter corresponding to the smallest diameter of the cone at the end of the inserted pipe. The end sections of the inserted pipe flanking the groove have the same length. The sleeve end of the other pipe (1) has a slightly expanded cone shape (8), matching the diameter of the inserted cone of the first pipe.
