PURPOSE: A stream source device, a display device, and an interfacing method thereof are provided to convert a video signal and an audio signal into an optical signal, and to transmit the optical signal to the display device through an optical cable. CONSTITUTION: A transmission packet stream generator(110) generates a transmission packet stream of the video signal and the audio signal. A signal processor(120) processes and converts the transmission packet stream into a digital video and audio signal. A format converter(130) converts the digital video and audio signal into an optical signal format. An optical signal transmitter(140) transmits the digital video and audio signal of the optical signal format to the display device through the optical cable(200). A CPU(100) controls the entire operation converting the digital video and audio signal into the optical signal, and transmitting the optical signal to the display device through the optical cable.
