PURPOSE: A method for remotely controlling a message in a home network is provided to confirm, reproduce, stop and delete a message stored in an object control device having a messaging function in a control device. CONSTITUTION: If a control device(120) requests a route panel from an object control device(100) through a home network, the object control device(100) provides a message icon image. The control device(120) displays the message icon on a screen. If the displayed message icon is selected, the control device(120) requests a corresponding message to the object control device(100). The object control device(100) provides a control panel of the corresponding message to the control device(120), and the control device(120) displays an icon of the control panel on the screen. If the displayed icon of the control panel is selected, the object control device(100) provides the message to the control device(120). The control device(120) reproduces the message, stops the reproduction of the message, or deletes the message.
