<p>A fibrous thermoplastic material, arranged in parallel format, is stretched in a warmed atmosphere to produce primary and secondary twists which, on cooling, produces a crimped yarn with an elasticity of a few per cent to 200 per cent. This material is then spun to produce a twisted yarn. This has the effect of producing a bulked crimped yarn, up to a high denier, with easy handling characteristics which can be spun, twisted and treated without difficulty.</p> |
