6-(Halo or trifluoromethyl)-4-hydroxy-N-(5-substituted 2-thiazolyl)-2H-thieno-(2,3-e)-1,2-thiazine-3-carboxamide-1,1-dioxides (I) are new. 6-(Halo or trifluoromethyl)-4-hydroxy-N-(5-substituted 2-thiazolyl)-2H-thieno-(2,3-e)-1,2-thiazine-3-carboxamide-1,1-dioxides of formula (I) and their salts with inorganic or organic bases are new. X = F, Cl, Br or CF3; R1 = H, Me or Et; and R2 = Me or Et. An Independent claim is also included for the preparation of (I).
