摘要 |
FIELD: recovery of radioactive materials. SUBSTANCE: method involves sorption of radionuclides including their condensation by evaporation and immobilization by casehardening in natural cement stone. Casehardening is effected by means of cementing system incorporating granular blast-furnace slag and clay component mixed up with sodium silicate solution. Sodium silicate solution used for mixing components has 150 - 250 g of sodium oxide per 1 l of solution and its solution-binder proportion is between 0.4 and 0.5 l/kg. Mixture obtained has 8 - 29% of sorbent, 8 - 15% of dry components of liquid radioactive concentrates, 30 - 56% of finely milled granular blast-furnace slag, 12 - 35% of clay component. Used as sorbent are natural zeolites or zeolite-like alumosilicate synthetic materials. EFFECT: enhanced mechanical strength and water resistance of mineral-like natural cement matrix for liquid waste immobilization. 4 cl, 1 ex |
