FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics. SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with antidepressants and treating depression by applying well-known selective or partially selective inhibitors of serotonin uptake (SISU) and inhibitors of norepinephrine re-uptake (INR-U). The suggested preparation contains antidepressants taken out of SISU and INR-U classes and, additionally, it contains folic acid or its precursor to be used for folate production. Daily dosage of either SISU or INR-U corresponds to that for treating depression with conventional methods. Daily dosage of folic acid's precursor should be to provide folate's dosage of 300- 5000 mcg/d. EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy, decreased risk of unfavorable aftereffects. 5 cl, 11 ex, 1 tbl |
