FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying mechanical action to orthodontic apparatus. Capacitive transducer preliminarily graduated in force units is set at the place the active member of orthodontic apparatus makes contact to teeth. The transducer has length equal to active member contact area size. Electric capacitance read from the mounted capacitive transducer between its plates is measured in the course of orthodontic apparatus activation. One of the plates is adjacent to dental surface and the other one to active member surface. Pressure force exerted by active member and applied to patient teeth is determined from calibration curve using electric capacitance change values. EFFECT: high accuracy of measurements. 1 dwg
