FIELD: surgery where atraumatic needle used as suture material in surgical operations. SUBSTANCE: method includes formation of needle by deformation and fastening of suture thread from titanium. Needle and suture thread are made from same semifinished product in form of composite with metal matrix and monofilaments from titanium. Needle is formed by deformation of length of semifinished product equaling thread length and coated with metal. Removed from remaining part of semifinished product is matrix to obtain suture thread. Atraumatic needle with secured suture needle from titanium presents composite coated with metal shell. Composite consists of metal, membrane and separate monofilaments secured in matrix which are extension of monofilaments comprising suture thread. EFFECT: reduced labor input of atraumatic needle manufacture increased its strength and reliability. 2 cl, 4 dwg
