FIELD: drilling fluids. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to boring oil and gas holes, in particular to additives for drilling fluids used during exposure of oil strata and well completion. Modifier contains 90.0-00.0% polyglycol with molecular weight 100-700 and 0.1-10.0% ethylene oxide/propylene oxide block copolymer having molecular weight 3000-8000 and content of ethyl oxide blocks. When preparing indicated block copolymer, triethanolamine, triisopropanolamine, tetraisopropanolethylenediamine, and glycerol are used. As above-indicated polyglycol, diethylene glycol and dipropylene glycol production still residues are utilized.
