PURPOSE: An opening and closing apparatus of a door for a bus is provided to prevent discharge of a battery without turning off a main switch in keeping the door open for a long time. CONSTITUTION: A door opening and closing apparatus of a bus comprises an operating cylinder(10) controlling a link mechanism; first and second magnetic control valves(16,18) regulating pressure to first and second pressure chambers(12,14) faced to each other around a piston(10a) of the operating cylinder to control movement of the piston; an air storage tank(24) connected to the magnetic control valves through first and second pneumatic pipes(20,22); an operating switch(26) connected to power to regulate compressed air to the operating cylinder by controlling the magnetic control valves; a main switch(28) selectively applying power from a battery to the operating switch; a relay terminal(31) turned on in the power supply passage between an opening connection end(26a) of the operating switch and the first magnetic valve and turned off according to the control signal; and a timer controller(32) operating the timer in connecting the operating switch to the opening connection end, and inputting the control signal to the relay terminal in passing the predetermined time.
