PURPOSE: A color cathode ray tube is provided to improve a structure strength of the CRT by optimizing a coupling position of a reinforcement band. CONSTITUTION: A color cathode ray tube comprises a panel(1) having a phosphor screen, a funnel coupled to the rear of the panel to keep the inside with a vacuum status, a shadow mask for sorting electron beams at the rear of the screen, an electron gun for emitting the electron beams at the rear of the funnel, and a deflection yoke for deflecting the electron beams in a vertical direction and a horizontal direction. A reinforcement band(8) is coupled at a position selected from the range of 0.38<h3H<0.62, wherein H is a distance between a face of the panel and a center of an IBR(In Brend Radius), and h is a distance from the face of the panel to a front end of the reinforcement band.
