PURPOSE: A heat exchanger is provided to prevent the deformation of the heat exchanger and the leakage of a heat exchanging medium at a bonding part by improving a bonding capacity of a blank plate for changing a passage and flat tubes layered adjacent to the blank plate. CONSTITUTION: Flat tubes are formed by bonding two plates(20) at which at least a pair of hole cups(21,22,23,24) are formed, respectively. The flat tubes and heat exchanging fins are layered by turns and end plates are layered on the outermost spot at which the flat tubes and heat exchanging fins are layered. At least one of plates functions as a blank plate for changing a passage by blocking up at least one of hole cups by baffle faces(25). The baffle face of the blank plate is recessed into the hole cup at the depth enough to insert a burring part without separation. The burring part is formed to the hole cup of the plate of the adjacent flat tube bonded with the blank plate. Accordingly, the burring part is optimally inserted into the baffle face in an assembly process.
