PURPOSE: A control device of a drain motor and a method thereof are provided to prevent wrong operation of the drain motor against infiltration of moisture by simplifying the structure, and to control the drain valve optimally by detecting inflow of water between a magnet and a sensor accurately. CONSTITUTION: A drain motor control device comprises a drain motor cam(51) installed in a drain motor(50), and composed of a magnet(52) checking the position of a drain valve(40) connected to the drain motor by a rod(45); a sensor unit(60) turning on and off according to position of the magnet in rotating the drain motor cam, and outputting a position detection signal corresponding to position of the drain motor cam; and a microcomputer checking the position of the drain motor cam according to the position detection signal from the sensor unit and outputting a driving signal of the drain motor. The structure is simplified with the magnet and the sensor unit, and the drain valve is controlled optimally by detecting accurately despite infiltrating moisture between the magnet and the sensor unit. |
