PURPOSE: A rotary-type automatic water trap for discharging condensate of an air conditioner is provided to easily perform an installation process and conveniently maintain in narrow work and installation spaces. CONSTITUTION: A rotary-type automatic water trap for discharging condensate, which is dropped from an evaporator(3) and collected in a hopper(5) mounted to the lower of the evaporator, of an air conditioner(1) is composed of an elbow(7) screw-coupled to the side of the hopper; a ring nipple(9) screw-coupled to the side of the elbow; a U-shaped pipe(11) connected to other side of the ring nipple in an airtight state; a maintaining chamber(13) integrally formed to other side of the U-shaped pipe; and a ball float embedded in the maintaining chamber to intermit the connection of a front end of the U-shaped pipe positioned in the chamber and a condensate discharging port(13a). The maintaining chamber includes the condensate discharging port at the side, a foreign material removing port at the upside, and a plug(13c) formed to the foreign material removing port.
