PURPOSE: A biocompatible erythrocyte as a gene delivery vehicle is provided, thereby protecting a gene transferred from external enzymes and maintaining the concentration thereof in blood for a long time. CONSTITUTION: A biocompatible erythrocyte containing a foreign gene to be transferred is provided, wherein the erythrocyte is a red blood corpuscle isolated from the blood of a mouse, a rat, a rabbit, a sheep and a human being; the foreign gene contained in the erythrocyte has molecular weight of 500,000 dalton or more; the foreign gene is an immune-related gene; and the immune-related gene is selected from the group consisting of cytokine gene IL-2 and IL-12, anti-HIV gene, chemokine gene RANTES, tumor suppressor gene H19 and p53, cell cycle-related gene p21 and angiogenesis inhibitor flk-1. |
