PURPOSE: Provided is an electrolyte for a lithium-sulfur battery, which improves the utility of sulfur, work life, discharge property such as discharge capacity and average discharge voltage and energy density of the lithium-sulfur battery. CONSTITUTION: The electrolyte liquid for a lithium-sulfur battery comprises a lithium salt consisting of a lithium cation and an imide-based anion, and a salt having an organic cation. In particular, the imide-based anion is represented by the formula of N(CxF2x+1SO2)-(CyF2y+1SO2)- in which x and y are a natural number. In addition, the salt having an organic cation is present in the liquid state at a temperature of 100 deg.C or less and comprises a cation of a heterocyclic compound.
