PURPOSE: A piercing apparatus for press is provided which simplifies fabrication, reduces the number of parts to be used and minimizes installation space accordingly by arranging a driving source for operating piercing punch perpendicularly to selective cam blocks. CONSTITUTION: In a piercing apparatus for press for selectively forming pierce hole on a product panel in a press equipment comprising upper mold and lower mold, the piercing apparatus for press comprises a cylindrical punch holder(21) mounted on one side of a lower part of the upper mold; a driving motor(23) mounted between the lower part of the upper mold and the outer side of the punch holder to generate rotational driving force according to control signals of controller; an upper selective cam block(27) which is connected to rotation shaft(25) of the driving motor through rotational center of the driving motor in the punch holder, and on a lower surface of which an inclined cam surface(29) is formed so that the upper selective cam block is rotationally operated by operation of the driving motor; a lower selective cam block(33) on an upper surface of which an inclined cam surface(31) corresponding to the cam surface of the upper selective cam block is formed in the punch holder so that the lower selective cam block is vertically operated through cam operation by rotation of the upper selective cam block; a pierce punch(35) which is mounted on the lower center of the lower selective cam block and corresponds to the lower mold by passing through the punch holder; and a return member(37) installed between the lower surface of the lower selective cam block and the inner lower surface of the punch holder to provide the lower selective cam block with elastic restoring force.
