PURPOSE: To obtain a cosmetic composition which inhibits the change and absorption of a smell with the passage of time due to the addition of a surfactant having oxyethylene groups in the molecule and has excellent storage stability. CONSTITUTION: This cosmetic composition comprises (A) one or more surfactants selected from the group consisting of intramolecularly oxyethylene group-having surfactants {for example, a surfactant represented by £R¬1(OCH2CH2)n-OSO3|¬- M¬+ £R¬1 is a 7 to 21C alkyl, or the like; (n) is an integer of 1 to 30; M is Na, K, NH4, or triethanolamine|}, and (B) tert-butanol.
