PURPOSE: A cooling and heating device using a hydrogen storage alloy is provided to remove an outdoor device by using the mutual relation between hydrogen and the hydrogen storage alloy. CONSTITUTION: A cooling and heating device using a hydrogen storage alloy is composed of a housing(10) having an air suction passage, an indoor exhaust passage, and an outdoor exhaust passage; a pair of reactors(20,25) mounted with opposite to the air suction passage in the housing; a damper(40) comprising a switching plate(42), a groove, and a motor(41); indoor and outdoor blower fans(30,35); a hydrogen passage(50) for flowing hydrogen; a pumping unit(60) for generating sending force to forcibly send hydrogen from one reactor to other reactor; and a direction control valve(70) for controlling the sending direction of the hydrogen. The switching plate is installed between the reactors to reciprocating in a predetermined angle with centering on a central axis. The groove is concavely formed at the upper end or lower center of the switching plate. The motor is installed to house in the groove and axis-combined with the upper end or the lower center of the switching plate to rotate the switching plate.
