PURPOSE: An apparatus for recognizing a visiting card for a wireless terminal is provided to recognize and extract various identity information and convert identity information into data capable of being used in the wireless terminal by a software. CONSTITUTION: An optical recognizing unit(4) scans character data with a visiting card size. A storing DB memory(5) stores the scanned data. A transmitting and receiving unit(6) directly transmits information to a wireless terminal(2) through a cable, or transmits information to the wireless terminal(2) through a PC. A software(7) controls the entire system for recognizing the character and transmitting and receiving the data.
