PURPOSE: A power control device using a wireless communication scheme and a method therefor are provided to control a load irrespective of an error operation by directivity and disturbance generated when controlling the load according to an infrared signal by controlling the certain load according to an RF(Radio Frequency) signal. CONSTITUTION: A transmission unit sets a channel selection code/ID code about a certain load(S100). The transmission unit sets a transmitter as a corresponding mode on the basis of a mode setup signal inputted through a channel selection unit(S200). The transmission unit transmits a control signal about the load to a reception unit under set mode environment(S300). The reception unit controls the corresponding load on the basis of the control signal inputted from the transmission unit through an RF reception unit(S400).
