APPARATUS FOR REMOVING FRACTURED IRON SCRAP ON SURFACE OF ROLL

PURPOSE: An apparatus for removing fractured iron scrap on the surface of roll is provided which removes the iron scrap promptly and safely when fractured iron scrap of strip is adhered to the surface of the roll during rolling operation. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus(100) comprises guide rails(111) installed at both sides of an upper surface of base(110); a rolling roll support(120) installed on an upper surface of the base(110) to support a rolling roll(2) in such a way that the rolling roll support(120) is moved along the guide rails(111); a rolling roll support transfer means installed on the base(110) to automatically adjust position of the rolling roll support(120); a plural supporting rolls(121) rotationally installed at both sides of an upper part of the rolling roll support(120) to support the rolling roll(2); an iron scrap removing roll(140) installed at the middle of the rolling roll support(120) to remove fractured iron scrap stuck to the surface of the rolling roll(2) in such a way that the iron scrap removing roll(140) is ascended and descended; a driving motor(150) installed on the side of the rolling roll support(120) to rotate the supporting rolls(121) and the iron scrap removing roll(140); covers(170,171) installed on an upper part of posts(160) installed at both sides of the base(110) in such a manner that the covers(170,171) are opened and closed; a grinding roll installed at a lower part of the covers(170,171) to grind the surface of the rolling roll(2) in such a way that the grinding roll is ascended and descended; and a sensing bar installed at the center of the covers(170,171) to sense the rolling roll(2).
