PURPOSE: A tension regulating device of a shift lever for a manual transmission is provided to remove a knob from the shift lever after positioning the shift lever to 3rd. or 4th. gear, to make an actuator generate constant hydraulic pressure by the rotation of a driver by rotating the driver and change the length of a shift rod, and accordingly to easily regulate the tension of the shift rod. CONSTITUTION: A tension regulating device of a shift lever(52) for a manual transmission is composed of the shift lever; a driver(54) rotatively passing through the shift lever; actuators(60,70) positioned at the lower of the driver to generate hydraulic pressure by the rotation of the driver; driver teeth(56) formed at the upper end of the actuator to correspond to driver grooves arranged in the operation direction of the shift lever; an elastic member(58) having constant elastic force, connecting the driver teeth with the driver, and bending the driver teeth when the driver teeth are engaged on the upper end of the actuator in shift; and a shift rod(90) of which the length is regulated by hydraulic pressure supplied from the actuator to transmit operating force of the shift lever to the manual transmission, combined to a lower end of the shift lever. The elastic member inserts the driver teeth into the driver groove when the driver groove and the driver groove are engaged in the operation direction of the shift lever.
