PURPOSE: A softening agent supply device for a washing machine is provided to remove static electricity efficiently, to improve rinsing efficiency, and to prevent excessive consumption of softening agent and environmental pollution by storing the proper amount of softening agent according to the laundry amount and supplying the softening agent in rinsing with forming plural partitions in a softening agent box. CONSTITUTION: A softening agent supply device of a washing machine is composed of an auto-balance(50) installed in the upper part of an inner tub(33) and composed of a softening agent supply passage to keep balance by reducing vibration in rotating the inner tub, and a softening agent box(60) attached to the auto-balance to store and supply the softening agent through the softening agent supply passage by centrifugal motion of the inner tub in rinsing. Plural partitions(65) are formed and stepped in the softening agent box to divide the interior uniformly. The softening agent box is divided into first, second, third and fourth storage parts by the partitions, and an overflow hole is formed in the partition. The amount is measured accurately without remaining softening agent in the upper part of the softening agent box by flowing the softening agent through the overflow hole to the second storage part in filing the first storage part with the softening agent. |
