PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for releasing the cover sheet of a paste container for screen process printing, which easily releases the cover sheet without adhesion of a paste(cream solder) to the cover sheet from the paste container, and a cover sheet release fixture. SOLUTION: In a cartridge 3l used for a closed squeegee head which performs screen process printing while the cream solder 5 is internally stored, a cover sheet release fixture 46 is set in the state that the cartridge 3l mounted on the upper part 30A of a frame-shaped main body, is fastened and retained, when the cover sheet 4l sticking to a collar part 3lb formed overhanging from a slender recessed part 3la formed of a flexible filmy material, is released. In addition, the cover sheet 4l is drawn out through a slit 54 and released from one end part side to the other end part side of the longitudinal direction, and the cream solder 5 adhering to the inner face side of the cover sheet 4l is scraped off into the recessed part 3la by the edge part of the slit 54.
