PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe cutting device which surely cuts a pipe-shaped member, for example, such as a fuel water rod installed in a furnace core of a boiled water type nuclear reactor in a shorter period of time. SOLUTION: This pipe cutting device 1 has a pipe installation part 5 installed under a condition that a pipe cutting means 8 with a stopper function is opposed to a pipe cutting means receiving part 6. When a pipe-like cut material 9 is installed to the pipe installation part 5, and the pipe cutting means 8 is made to approach to the pipe cutting means receiving part 6, so as to cut the pipe-like cut material 9, the stopper function is brought into contact with the pipe cutting means receiving part 6, so that cutting drive of the pipe cutting means 8 is stopped.
