PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defoaming agitator which has simle constitution and efficiently removes air in slurried liquid by defoaming. SOLUTION: A frame-shaped blade (2) is arranged in a tank (1) so that the slurried liquid at the bottom of the tank is raked upward and the slurried liquid near the wall of the tank is made to flow to the center of the tank. An auxiliary blade (8) is arranged in the center of the tank for raking the slurried liquid upward. The auxiliary blade (8) is fit to the driving shaft (3) of the blade (2) and rotated to the same direction as that of the frame-shaped blade (2) at the same number of revolution as that of the blade (2). As a result, the slurried liquid on the liquid level can be renewed uniformly and defoamed efficiently. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
