PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine equipped with a variable display for a plurality of patterns, and its variation starting means and so forth. SOLUTION: This game machine (1) is equipped with reels (3L, 3C and 3R) which variably display a plurality of the patterns, a start lever (6) which can start the variable display, and a main control circuit (71) which stops and controls the variable display based on the operating direction of the start lever (6).
