PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting device for a partition that can detachably mount simply the partition in a mounted portion in the rear of a desktop shelf or bookends and facilitates a change of the horizontal mounting position of the partition. SOLUTION: Parallel open grooves 25 horizontally extending are formed in mounted portions A, and the rears of the upper and lower edges of the open grooves are made to function as upper engagement edges 26 and lower engagement edges 27. A through-hole 30 is inwardly formed in the partition 8 from a fixed face 28 on one side edge to a plate portion 29, and a circular hole 31 communicating with the through-hole is formed in the plate portion. A protruding piece 33 engaging with the upper engagement edge and the lower engagement edge is formed in the upper end lower ends of a body portion 32 fitting into the open groove in a connector 24. A headed tightening pin 34 inserted into the through hole of the partition is provided in the front of the body portion. The upper and lower protruding pieces of the connector are engaged with the upper engagement edge and the lower engagement edge of the open grooves. The tightening pin is inserted into the through hole of the partition and the head of the tightening pin is engaged with a rotary tightener 35 arranged in the circular hole and drawn and fixed.
