PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that an additive is applied to stems and culms reaped by the reaping machine of a combine harvester, however, a storage tank for storing the additive is installed at the rear side of a role baler for storing and bundling the stems and culms cut by a stem and culm cutter, consequently, the front and rear balance of the combine harvester is defective and a transportable hose for transporting the additive stored in the storage tank is lengthened and a roll baler apparatus has difficulty in finding measures to prevent them. SOLUTION: The stem and culm cutter for cutting stems and culms is installed under a stem and culm transportation apparatus for transferring and transporting the stems and culms of crops reaped by the reaping machine. The roll baler for receiving cut stems and culms is installed. The storage tank for storing the additive is placed at the upper side of an undercarriage behind an operating seat. A nozzle at the tip of the transportation hose arranged on the storage tank for applying the additive to the stems and culms to be supplied to the stem and culm cutter is arranged at the upper side of the stem and culm cutter. A hydraulic valve for controlling operation of various kinds of cylinders is set at a lower space part between the reaping machine and the roll baler. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
