PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which obviates the occurrence of image defects by current leakage and has high flexibility of the disposing positions of cleaning rolls. SOLUTION: The image forming device is provided with image carrying members 10Y to 10K which carry and support electrostatic charge latent images, developer carrying members 120Y to 120K which carry and support toners and form toner images by selectively imparting the toners to the electrostatic charge images on these image carrying members, transfer devices 20 and 30 which comprise at least one transfer member and transfer the toner images formed on the image carrying members onto recording sheets by coming into contact with the image carrying members, and the cleaning rolls 210 and 310 which remove the residual toners on the transfer members by coming into contact with the transfer members constituting the transfer devices. When the length in the axial direction of rotation of the rolls 210 and 310 is defined as L(CR) and the length in the axial direction of rotation of the members 20 and 30 as L(T), the relation L(CR)≤L(T) is satisfied.
