The method involves transmitting a data sequence (d) via an interface between transmitter and receiver stations. The data sequence is generated from at least one protective section and at least one useful data (ud) section using application- and/or situation-specific parameters. Signaling data (S1) are inserted into the protective data section at the transmitter end and can be positively identified as signaling data at the receiver end.
